Fund More · Restaurant Capital
Restaurant capital options, with the obligations in view
Funding decisions affect far more than the day a restaurant receives capital. A useful review starts with the business purpose, total economic cost, repayment or redemption obligations, cash-flow demands, and operational tradeoffs.
Questions to answer first
- What is the capital being used for, and what operating return would justify the commitment?
- What cash payments, fees, credits, discounts, delivery obligations, collateral or ownership rights are required?
- How do the contract terms behave if sales are below plan or a location closes?
- Who is the provider, what approvals apply, and are RFA or any third parties compensated?
- What are the alternatives, and what would change if the restaurant waited?
Evaluate structures against the restaurant
Bank and SBA loans, equipment financing, merchant cash advances, revenue-based arrangements, equity capital and dining-credit arrangements differ materially. Terms and availability depend on the provider and the restaurant. No structure should be described as risk-free simply because it does not carry a conventional loan label.
RFA can help organize a business-focused review and the questions to put to prospective providers. No approval, financing amount, pricing or timing is promised.
